The MSA staff is knowledgeable, professional and discrete. Dr. Michael Jay, often called “Dr. Mike,” was inspired by his father and whose footsteps he followed into the medical profession. He has served Montrose and the surrounding area since 1992. Dr. Jay is Board Certified by and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also trained on the da Vinci robotic surgery system. More about Dr. Jay.
Dr. Collin Sharp says he decided in fifth grade that he wanted to be a doctor. Born and raised in Colorado, Sharp completed undergraduate and medical school at the University of Colorado and his surgical residency and internship at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. He is well trained is all areas of General Surgery including laparoscopic, trauma and emergency. Dr. Cynthia (Cindi) Millward, a Durango native, returned to her Western Slope roots when choosing to practice in Montrose. She is “dedicated to providing excellent surgical care for the community and building trusting relationships with my patients.” Millward attended Montana State University for undergraduate, received her medical degree from the University of Colorado, and completed surgery residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. Dr. Millward is board certified by the American College of Surgeons. She has expertise in all facets of general surgery and performs robotic surgery on the da Vinci robotic surgery system. Dr. Eric Wiesner is excited to return to Montrose, where he grew up, to join Montrose Surgical Associates. He has wanted to be a surgeon as long as he can remember, often dressing up as a doctor for Halloween. He earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison Wisconsin and completed his Internship/Residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
