Personalized and Compassionate Surgical Care
At Montrose Surgical Associates, we are committed to providing quality personalized care in a comfortable, unhurried, high-tech environment.
At Montrose Surgical Associates, we combine compassionate surgical care with expert surgical techniques. We prefer minimally invasive approaches when at all possible. The surgeons and staff at Montrose Surgical Associates believe that patient education is critical to a successful surgery and subsequent recovery for all our patients. We aim to completely explain your medical condition, delineate the various treatment options available, and outline the recommended surgical procedure. Your health and quality of surgical care are our top priorities. We look forward to serving you and your family and appreciate your choosing Montrose Surgical Associates for your healthcare needs.
A general surgeon is trained to manage diseases of the intestine and colon, including obstructions due to scar tissue from prior surgeries. We are involved in the surgical care of cancer patients including removing tumors, treating complications of chemotherapy, and placement of infusion ports. We are responsible for all trauma patients in the region, directing the treatment of their specific injuries. A general surgeon is also trained in the care of pediatric patients and their unique concerns. Common conditions treated by general surgeons include hernias, breast tumors, gallstones, appendicitis, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, colon inflammation, and colon cancer.
Our surgeons are all board certified with the American Board of Surgery. Board certification requires a minimum of 5 years of surgical training at an accredited surgical residency program. Not all surgeons are board certified. Board certification is a voluntary process that demonstrates a surgeon’s commitment to lifelong learning and quality patient care.
